GOOD TO KNOW

A few quick answers.

Why can’t the recorder capture every shortcut?

Your operating system and browser reserve some combinations, such as switching windows or closing a tab. Enter those keys as text in “Enter keys” mode. The recorder listens only while its button has focus and recording is active.

Does Ctrl mean the same thing as Cmd?

No. Ctrl and Cmd are separate keys. Choose macOS to see the corresponding Mac bindings, where available.

Are these every shortcut an app has?

No. This is a curated starting collection. Each app page links to the publisher’s reference. Versions, keyboard layouts, extensions and customized shortcuts can change the result.

Are my keystrokes sent anywhere?

No. Shortcut matching happens in your browser. This version sends no search terms or recorded keys to a server.
